    As more enterprises focus on the need to leverage technology to solve business and marketing problems, optimize processes, and embark on digital transformation initiatives, email has become even more critical. Driving positive customer experiences across channels is one primary goal of digital transformation and these customer experiences are increasingly mobile in nature. Forty percent of consumers state that their primary email device is their mobile phone and 26 percent state that it is their primary online shopping device. This is higher than any other device including laptops, desktops, and tablets. The increase in the complexity of customer touchpoints and communication opportunities requires specialized expertise. An executive survey by Response:AI, commissioned on behalf of Trendline Interactive, found that 78 percent of respondents somewhat and definitely agree that specialized expertise is required for email marketing and 80 percent state that they aim for their programs to be innovative. These aspirations require highly specialized email marketing and technology expertise.
